Terrazzo Timepieces - St Albans

  • Cositas 32 Holywell Hill St Albans, England, AL1 1BZ United Kingdom (map)

Do you fancy a go at making your own terrazzo clock? Casting is an enormously enjoyable and satisfying craft, and Jesmonite is the ideal material to use in a workshop setting, as it sets so quickly.

A combination of demonstrations from your workshop leader (me!), plus written step-by-step instructions will give you the confidence to make your coloured terrazzo chips, cast the clock face and get rid of pesky air bubbles, sand to reveal the pattern, and finally seal and make up your finished clock.

You will get to use a specially-designed, recyclable mould, which means no drilling. The selection of pigments in your kit mean that you can really go to town making your piece unique, by mixing up all your favourite shades and break them up into large or small shards, ready to stir into your final mixture.

Two hours of fun, and something pretty impressive to take home with you at the end of it!
